Proposed Docent Public Tours for Chihuly

Hello Docents-

I have started the process of scheduling the public docent tours for Chihuly this summer.  Before I get much further, I would like you to review what I have so far. Be sure to look for your name on the list and get it on your calendar – though, do note, most of you are already scheduled when those tours are happening (Debora Kernan excepted). These will be up on the website like the current tours which means that visitors will be able to buy tickets on-line to join these tours, which has been very successful for us so far with the Rockwell public tours. It also means we don’t know if any will sell at all and people can pay at the desk that day. There is a 25 participant limit to any of the tours. I have copied the info below and attached it in case you want to print it out without all of my gibberish. Now is the time to have me make changes so PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. Once these tours start selling, we can’t cancel them because that is bad form. I need to know that they will be covered. When I return on April 26 (or a few days their after), I will continue through the rest of the Dale Chihuly’s NW exhibition cycle. Make sure you feel good about this half before I move on. Also remember that group tours will likely be getting booked for these days as well.

TAM Docents: Chihuly's NW Study Material

Hello Docents-

I have optimistically attached 3 essays for you to read – the optimism part being that I hope they get through since I forget how much is too much for attachments every time! I just got a prescription for reading glasses too so I guess we know where this is going. Copies will be available at the Docent Desk in the ARC very soon. They are giant copies (great for those of us that need reading glasses) and I may need to put those sheets off to the side instead of in the binder.

 

I also wanted to let you know that I will be out of the office April 15 – 25 and, should you need something, please don’t hesitate to contact Megan Ristine during that time.
