Saturday, May 13th, from 11 am to 3 pm
Third Thursday, May 17th, from 12 pm to 3 pm
Late Night Third Thursday, May 17th, from 5 pm to 8 pm (Last Third Thursday of HIDE/SEEK)
Wednesday, May 23rd, from 10 am to 2 pm
Ongoing Open Shifts:
1st Saturday, from 11 am to 3 pm
We are also looking for one more docent to help on Saturday, May 12th, from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm to with potential HIDE/SEEK tours. This is in conjunction with the Queering the Museum Symposium. This is a good opportunity to take on if you are interested in hearing Jonathan Katz speak again as there may not be a tour to take around.
Symposium: Queering the Museum
Friday-Saturday, May 11–12 at Henry Art Gallery, Seattle
Join partners at UW Seattle and representatives from the museum community for a Friday evening and Saturday morning program examining what it takes to bring an exhibition focused on gay themes to the public. What is the current status of LGBTQ issues in the museum community, and where are we going? Examine these questions and others, then travel to Tacoma Saturday afternoon to view the HIDE/SEEK exhibition in person. UW-facilitated travel may be available for those who need it.
Thank you all for all that you do for Tacoma Art Museum! You have all been very flexible with your time and I really appreciate all your hard work!
Warm regards,
Megan
