docents needed Friday, September 24

Hi Everyone,

We have a very large group of Japanese students from Mukogawa Institute in
Spokane coming through the museum on Friday, September 24. There will be one group of 75 at 2:00 p.m. and one group of 75 at 3:30 p.m. (they are rotating between us and the History Museum).

Some of you have worked with groups from this school before. The students have very limited English (they are in the
US to learn English) so they require tours that use very simple, clear language. Their tour organizer has requested that we do not do full tours but rather give short presentations about the Wave and the Chihuly collection.

I think it would work best to have 4 docents who can each take a group of 20 or so people.
Holly Pennington is already on the schedule that day, but it would be great if we could have three other people join her. We can work out the details of how physically to move this many students through the building closer to the time.

Please let me know if you’re interested.

Thanks

Tara
