TAM Docents: Biennial Information

Hello Docents-

It has been great seeing you at so many events! Paula saw quite a few of you at the Macaulay lecture that took place at the Tacoma Public Library (for the purposes of attendance, I have marked down those that she remembered seeing – feel free to let me know if you were there and I will make sure I have you marked down). I had a lot of fun at the Happy Hour before the Scott Fife lecture – which I also enjoyed. Thanks to those of you who joined us for that. The Behind the Scenes Tour with Michelle Kinney was also a success. I look forward to seeing you all at the next required training on February 4 when we walk through the Biennial and David Macaulay. Speaking of the Biennial, I have the labels and vinyl text attached above. The Biennial catalog had a limited printing this year so we will only have a couple of copies available for the ARC and the Docent Desk. After the Biennial, if there are many left over, we may be able to hand out some extra catalogs to you. Meanwhile, you will still be able to purchase one from the store at your discounted rate if you want a copy of your own before or during the run of the exhibition.

I have also attached the Exhibition Plans for both the Biennial and David Macaulay. Copies of all attachments will be available in the ARC at the Docent Desk. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

-Jana

P.S. Don’t forget to contact the Education Dept at 253.272.4258 x3018 to request tickets to the Biennial lecture, Jurying the Biennial, if you are planning to go. That program is free to members and $10 for non-members and it includes entry to the opening. There will be a DJ and a dance floor in addition to the usual snacks and artists in attendance. I hope to see you there!
