Sculpture Assignments

Hello Docents,

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. I can’t wait to catch up during our first docent training of 2015; which is Wednesday, January 21st at 10:30 am.

To prepare for our first training of the year, Laura has asked that all docents read the articles listed below. Please make sure to read them and come prepared with questions.

Also, attached are your research assignments for the Pamela Mayer Sculpture Hall. Be prepared to present on your sculptor for the training on Wednesday, January 28 at 10:30 am. Your presentation length should be 3-5 minutes. Your presentation should consist of the artist’s background and you may also want to discuss or describe a work of art on display from the Haub Family Collection of Western American Art. I would like for each docent to email or submit a paragraph about the artist and you may optionally include a paragraph about the artist’s work in the collection to me that same week.

If your name is missing from the assignment list and/or you would like to present on an artist, please let me know ASAP.

Please email me if you have any questions.

Thanks!
