Tour Signage Stanchion

I am officially announcing that tour signage is back!

A stanchion (the stand that holds a sign) and various signage announcing tours, will be available by the front desk. I believe the stanchion will be waiting for you by the plasma screen, and the paper signs will be in a folder at the front desk. There are several signs that announce different tour times. If you can’t find the stanchion or the signs, please ask Visitor Services.

If you want to advertise your tour(s):

  • Place the appropriate sign in the stanchion and carry the stanchion to the appropriate gallery. (The stanchion is a little heavy, if you can’t manage it, please ask Visitor Services to help you.)
  • We don’t want the stanchion loitering around the museum and confusing visitors, so please place it out no more than 2 hours before your tour time, and remove it when the tour is finished.
  • Make sure that Visitor Services at the front desk and the Greeter knows about your upcoming tour so they can tell in-coming visitors all about it.

Thanks for your time!

Docent Needed: Wednesday, October 12 at 12:00 noon

Can anyone do a docent shift (or trade a shift) on Wednesday, October 12 from 10-2?

The photo-journalist staff (about 10 people) at the Tacoma News Tribune has requested a tour of Margaret Bourke-White at 12 noon.

Please reply only if you are available, and I will confirm whether or not you are needed.

Thanks for your time!
