2 docents needed for August 23rd program

I just want to thank you so much for so quickly responding to my requests.  I have been able to fill almost all the docent spots I have asked for this week.  I still need 2 docents to lead a jewelry tour (in all applicable galleries so it will be brief for each exhibition) from 4-5 pm on Sunday, August 23 following the 4 Curator program. Please be available  - 1 in Drutt, the other in Worden – to answer questions until 5 pm.  The program information is as follows.

 

4 Curators: Contemporary Craft in Northwest Museums
Sunday, August 23
1–5 pm

What role does contemporary craft play in museums? Several regional museums have made a commitment to exhibiting and collecting works in glass, fiber, wood, clay and metals. Curators from those institutions, Stefano Catalani from Bellevue Arts Museum, Rock Hushka from Tacoma Art Museum, Kathleen Moles from the Museum of Northwest Art in La Conner, and Namita Wiggers from the Museum of Contemporary Craft in Portland, come together to discuss the significance of contemporary craft. Sponsored by the Seattle Metals Guild.

3 upcoming docent opportunities at Tacoma Art Museum

Happy Tuesday, docents!

 

I have 3 docent opportunities in the coming weeks and months with which I will need your help.

 

I am still really in need of a docent to lead a Chihuly walking tour next Wednesday, August 19 at 11 am.  There will be 2 participants on this tour.

 

Also, I need a docent for another Chihuly walking tour with 7 participants on Wednesday, September 16 at 10 am. 

 

Finally, there is a general museum overview tour with 30 participants for which I will need a docent on Saturday, October 3 at 1 pm.

 

Please let me know if you would be available to lead any of these tours.
