TAM Docent Calendar

Hello, fearless docents:

This is the last you’ll hear from me for a while! I’ll miss you, and hope you all have fabulous springs & summers. You will be in the capable hands of Amy, and she is excited to get to know you all better. J

I have a number of housekeeping matters for you in this email. First, thanks to those who attended Stephanie’s excellent presentation on Eric Carle yesterday, and all the other weekend programs in association with the exhibition. We’ve gotten a lot of great info! If you missed it all, be sure to come check out the exhibition, read up on it at the docent desk (we’ve got info in the binder and docent copies of the catalogue) and/or in the exhibition text & checklist I sent along in a previous email.

Speaking of missing things, I haven’t sent out an attendance checklist in a while. Here it is; please check for accuracy and let me know if I missed you for something you attended. Right now it looks like Ellen, Judi, Loretta, and Sharon are neck-in-neck, with only one missed training apiece. I suspect Amy may have a prize for you after the next training…

Join the new curator of the Haub Collection of Western Art, Laura Fry, to learn about the collection and what it means for Tacoma Art Museum.

We’ve also got a group tour coming up next week, and they’ve requested an additional docent for their group. Please let Amy know if you’d be up for leading the tour with Barbara, who we’ve already got on board.

Penultimately, I wanted to let you know that we’ve been working on getting complimentary copies of our new Best of the Northwest catalogue for all active docents. This is a great resource on the TAM collection! Amy should have more info for you in the next week or so.
