Docent reminder: Training 11/14
Hello, fabulous docent team:
I just wanted to remind you all about this upcoming training, at a different time than our typical Wednesday:
Wednesday, November 14, 2 pm | Adorning the Dome Amy McBride, City of Tacoma Arts Administrator, will share with us the story of the 1982 Tacoma Dome public art competition that resulted in Warhol’s iconic flower design submission. She will also discuss current, renewed efforts to see Warhol’s proposal brought to life on the dome. Note that this training will occur in the afternoon rather than morning. |
Amy’s public presentation on November 3 was really excellent and inspiring, so don’t miss her reprise especially for us!
I’ve also attached reference materials for the Warhol exhibition: an illustrated checklist and the text panels (I did not include the object label panels, because that document is 60 some-odd pages long).
See you next week, and thanks for all you do for Tacoma Art Museum,
Courtney
PS: An extra special thanks to Superhero Sanjeev for stepping in last-minute (even though he had to study up last-minute, too!) to lead a Warhol tour yesterday! J
