I have included the definition of Thinking Routines as well as some routine frameworks you may be able to adapt and incorporate into your tours. There is a handout (summary of slides) on Artful Thinking, based on thinking dispositions (routines), similar to VTS or Visual Thinking Strategies. Lastly, you will find a wonderful paper written by Dave Perkins from Harvard University about the nature of understanding.
