TAM Docents: This and That - Please read!

Hello Docents-

First I would like to welcome another new docent, Errol Alexander. He will be joining our trainings soon. That brings us up to 6 new docents for this year’s class and that is as many as I will be taking on. I will hope that our new docents will be present for next week’s training where we can all introduce ourselves and start becoming better acquainted. Also along the lines of next week’s training, I have attached (yes, again) the readings for that training. Please come prepared to discuss VTS (or at least know what VTS stands for).

Finally, I have also attached a handout with some Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) terminology as a refresher because it is that time of year again. Rather than send out the same materials I did last year, I will have copies available in the docent notebook. I have some extras from last year that I will place in the front, please just take those while they last, and I will have those you can make copies of in the notebook. I will also remind you that we have at least one video about Dia de los Muertos available in the ARC for you to view if you would like additional training/refreshing for this year’s tours. New docents will be shadowing during this time so they don’t have to worry about actually giving tours but they should become very acquainted with all of the information as this is an annual event. Below is the timeline from the website.
