Training/get together on Wednesday, May 8th
About a week ago, Josh sent out an email updating you on some ideas we have for the docent program, along with a few programs we’d like to invite you to! On May 8 (tomorrow), at 10:30AM we will have a gift for you from the museum. We are going to be giving each of you copies of our new Northwest Catalogue and Margaret Bullock (our Curator of Collections and Special Exhibitions) is going to share the process Tacoma Art Museum has gone through in creating the catalogue! She also wants to share with you the museum’s plan for future publications, our online database, and summer view share project.
This is also a perfect time to remind you that there is another docent event coming up on May 22nd. We’re going to be having a potluck! We’ll discuss this in more detail tomorrow.
Also, please review the upcoming docent-led tours that are still in need of a docent! Most have been covered, but there are quite a few large groups coming into the museum who need 2 or 3 docents to show them around.
Finally, if you have filled in on a tour for me within the past month, please make sure you remind me tomorrow. I’ll have a little compensation available for you that I don’t want you to miss out on.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!
