TAM Docent Calendar
Hello again docents!
Special thanks to Randi K and Loretta for jumping in right away volunteering to help with the Kenna lecture on Saturday. We’re expecting about 180 attendees for the lecture, with a patron event right beforehand, so it will be a busy day! It’s also one of the few days this month that we don’t have shift coverage for right now, so if you’re looking for the chance to talk with a lot of people about our exhibitions it’s a great day to cover. If you’re available let me know—and we can change the shift timing or say you’ll stop at 2 in order to attend the lecture.
Below is the rest of the calendar for the next month, with a couple other open shifts—also including tomorrow (Fri). If you can do that one, let me or Megan know, or just come by! For those couple of you who told me about schedule changes at our training yesterday, I think I got them all covered on here correctly, but take a careful look to make sure (early Feb, in particular).
After the Michael Kenna lecture, remember that next up is our training with Rabbi Bruce on Wed, Jan 23, at 10:30 am. We’ll be discussing the concentration camp imagery in this second rotation of Kenna’s work. It is difficult material and may be a tough discussion, but important & worthwhile, and hopefully will help you to help visitors process that artwork. This one is not a public program, but some TAM staff may be joining us.
Thanks as always for all you do,
Courtney
