Docent Calendar, Warhol tours, and news
Hello fabulous docents:
You may feel like you’ve been hearing a lot from me lately, but I have more! Make sure you read all the way to the bottom, because the last item is me sharing some exciting news.
First, we’ve reached the end of our fall/winter 2012 season of docent training. (I had been working on a field trip for us to finish it off, but that will have to wait until 2013—which I suspect is OK with a lot of you busy with holiday plans already.) Here’s our attendance count:

You can see that Cathy, Ellen, Judi, Randy H, and Sharon all tied for near-perfect attendance, so they will get a little stocking stuffer from the docent program. Nice work! (Everyone, let me know if anything looks amiss on here.)
We’ll be starting in again the second week of January, and I’ll have a preliminary winter/spring 2013 training calendar for you soon. There are some exciting big names coming to the museum!

Finally: I’ve been able to share this with a number of you in person, and even if I haven’t had a chance to tell you, you may have guessed if you’ve seen me recently. But I wanted to make sure you all know that I am currently expecting our second child! My due date is May 1, so I’ll be able to take you through most of the rest of the 2012-13 year. Luckily this coincides pretty perfectly with some major changes at the museum in terms of the new Haub collection, construction, and additional education staffing. I will share more about the transition plan, and docent program plans in relation to the new collection, as it gets a little closer.
