TAM Docents: Links galore!

Hello Docents-

Josh has been so gracious as to get a whole slew of links together from his presentation on October 6th. I hope this proves useful. I have also had a request for a copy of notes from that training if any of you have some notes you are willing to share.

Our next training is scheduled for Wednesday, October 27 at 10:30 am.

Thank you,

Subject: Links galore!

Greetings Docents,

It was such a privilege to present to all of you. While this topic could seem obscure for a group of docents you all were wonderful to present to. Further, there is no doubt, that our relationship to the digital world is only becoming more.

If you want to see some more data… A quick presentation if you want to be king of the dinner party tonight and dazzle your friends with statistics!

Links to dive into the digital world!

The social networking king… Facebook currently has in excess of 350 million active users on global basis. Six months ago, this was 250m… meaning around a 40% increase of users in less than half a year. Facebook home -

For all your digital photos… Flickr now hosts more than 4bn images! Flickr home -

If you have something small to say… 75 million users can’t be wrong! Twitter home -

If you have something large to say… Most heavily influenced by product, 70% of bloggers are organically talking about brands on their blog. Blogger home -

For any video on anything… Be aware! On average a user spends 15 minutes on there a day. Youtube home -

Geo caching…

Most importantly, for knowledge!
