TAM docents: Field trip March 21!

Hello docents:

It has taken a little while to arrange, but here is your one big training opportunity in this quiet month of March:

For Fun!

Thursday,

March 21,

Lunch: 12 pm

Tour: 1 pm

Field Trip! Pipilotti Rist: A la belle étoile at Henry Art Gallery

Take a trip up to Seattle to see the work of Pipolotti Rist, one of the featured artists in the BNY Mellon exhibition, on view at the Henry Art Gallery until March 24. We will have a guided tour of the exhibition followed by time to explore the galleries on our own. Join us for a no-host lunch in the Henry’s café, Molly’s (http://www.henryart.org/cafe), beforehand if you are able.

I’ve attached a copy of the Henry’s media release about the exhibition, should you like more info. This should be an interesting opportunity to learn more about one of the featured artists on view in BNY Mellon.

Note that this training is on a Thursday afternoon, not at our normal time. Still, I hope a good number of you are able to make it. Please RSVP so that I know how many of us to expect, and also let me know if you would like to join in for lunch beforehand in the Henry’s café. I will make the lunch reservation next Thursday the 14th, so let me know by then if possible. When you RSVP, please also indicate what your transportation situation is—i.e., will you be driving and would you be willing to take others who need a ride; would you like to carpool as a passenger; are you planning to take the bus, meet us there, etc. I will do my best to make sure to get you all set up with carpools if need be!

Cheers, and thanks as always,

Courtney
