TAM Docents: Docent Training Dates

Hello Docents-

I am still trying to pin down your training dates but I have successfully wrangled 3 that I wanted to get on your calendars:

Required Training	Any time you can arrange with another docent	During the month of April, pair up with another docent and do a tour – even if it is just for the other docent (act as you would with a visitor). Assess touring technique for peer and self-evaluation. This is also your chance to let me know what you would like more training opportunities in too.
Required Training	Tuesday,  May 17, 10:30 am  - 12:30 pm	Chihuly’s Northwest Training with Rock Hushka.  Meet in the Event Space.
Required Training	Thursday, June 30, 10:30 am  - 12:30 pm	New Acquisitions Training by Margaret Bullock. This is also a public program
Required Training	Wednesday, July 6, 10:30 am  - 12:30 pm	Virna Haffer Training by Margaret Bullock. This is also a public program

 

I should be able to get a more complete training calendar to you later this month. Thanks for your patience. I also included the reminder about your evaluations too. When you have completed your evaluations, please put them at my desk or in my mailbox in the mailroom on Admin.

Thank you for all that you do for Tacoma Art Museum! I hope to see all of you next Tuesday at volunteer appreciation from 5 – 7 pm. We want to wine and dine you – plus, I have some really great raffle prizes!
