trip to SAM July 19

Dear Docents,

We have the chance to see the Seattle Art Museum’s exhibition Van Gogh to Mondrian: Modern Art from the Kroller-Mueller Museum as a group on Monday, July 19th, at 4:00 p.m. They are allowing us the special opportunity to come in on a Members-only Monday so that we can come at a (relatively) less crowded time, and they are also extending us the greatly reduced price of $5 per person (regularly $15). We will meet at SAM downtown at 3:45 that day. Transportation/parking will be on your own. Feel free to organize carpools from TAM if you’d like.

Afterwards, we will have an (optional) no-host dinner at a restaurant near the museum. Stay tuned for more info on this from the Docent Special Events Committee!

(We can also try to fit in a quick trip to the Central Library for those of us who haven’t seen it.)

To reserve a spot please bring or send in your payment of $5 to Tara. Docents are welcome to bring one guest each. Payment must be made by Wednesday, June 16. After that date, all open spots will be offered to the rest of the Tacoma Art Museum volunteer pool.

This is a great opportunity to see this very popular exhibition at a reduced price and at a less-crowded time. I hope you all can make it.

Thanks

Tara Young
