Docent Training on October 2, 2013

Hello Docents,

 

I want you to know that we’re doing something a little different for docent trainings. If you reviewed the updated training schedule that I sent out on Friday, October 13^th you might have noticed that we have a number of guest speakers and curator lectures coming up.  Starting next Wednesday, October 2^nd we are titling our docent trainings a Lunch and Learn series. As usual, we are opening up the lectures and walkthroughs to museum visitors at no extra charge. The Lunch and Learn series will go from 11:00 am-12:00 pm. Docent training will still begin at 10:30 in the Event Space (unless otherwise noted), so that we may discuss docent business. If you have anything that you would like to discuss, please let me know ahead of time, so that I may include your items on the agenda. Museum visitors will not attend our docent discussions, books discussions, or workshops. This only applies to lectures and walkthroughs.

 

At the same time, since it is a Lunch and Learn series, please feel free to bring a snack, lunch, or order a lunch to-go at the café. We will be setting up tables and chairs in the Event Space for the lectures. If you have any questions or concerns regarding upcoming docent trainings, please let me know!
