TAM: special training opportunity at the Frye
Due to the fact that our Oasis exhibition and the Frye Art Museum’s Napoleon exhibition are both from the Dahesh Museum of Art and compliment each other, we have the special opportunity to attend the Frye’s docent training for Napoleon on the Nile on Friday, September 19 from approximately 1-2 pm. This training is also led by Lisa Small who is from the Dahesh Museum of Art and is training us on Thursday, September 18.
If you are interested in attending the Frye training, please let me know.
We will meet in the Frye rotunda. Ask for Deborah Sepulveda at the front counter.
If you are interested in catching a ride or driving to the Frye in Seattle, please let me know and I will help arrange a car pool. I will be driving and can take four passengers myself.
Thanks for your time as we look forward to the new fall exhibitions!

Subject: TAM: Oasis catalog at cost
For the Oasis: Western Dreams of the Ottoman Empire from the Dahesh Museum of Art (9/20/08-1/4/09) exhibition, you will be able to buy the catalog “A Distant Muse” from the store at cost for $12.50.
Thanks to Christina and the rest of the store staff (Robbi, Carolyn, Kathe) for helping to make this possible and taking on the extra work this involves!
I have also attached a PDF of the “Distant Muse” catalog essay in two parts – if you do not receive the two attachments, please let me know.
The “Distant Muse” catalog essay by Lisa Small is required reading for the exhibition, and please do read it before the training with Lisa Small on September 18!
Thanks for all your hard work!
