TAM: training on Thomas Tallis

The next docent training is on Tuesday, July 8 from 10:30 – 11:30 am. This is part of the Second Tuesday programs.

Doug Fullington is an exceptional speaker and an expert on medieval music. I promise that this will be a very worthwhile and interesting training session. Learn about Thomas Tallis, the man behind the music, to enrich your tours!

Second Tuesday: The Musical History of British Composer Thomas Tallis

Douglas Fullington, Director of the Tudor Choir in Seattle, discusses the historical context of Thomas Tallis’s 16th-century 40-voice musical composition featured in Janet Cardiff’s sound installation.

By the way, the museum staff was able to go into the gallery today and experience the Forty Part Motet for the first time. It is just beautiful and moving, and I think that you will all fall in love with it!
