TAM NEW TRAINING: Chuck Close walk-through with Michelle Dunn Marsh on March 20

We have arranged for a special walk-through of Chuck Close with Michelle Dunn Marsh, Director of Aperture West, on Third Thursday, March 20 from 4:30 – 5:30 pm. You probably remember Michelle from a year ago when she led a docent training on Paul Strand Southwest. She will discuss the broad range of photographic media Chuck Close incorporates in his work, including daguerreotypes and large-scale digital prints for the docents, in the format of a walk-through in the gallery, and will be able to answer your questions.

Aperture, a not-for-profit organization devoted to photography and the visual arts, has organized the traveling exhibition A Couple of Ways of Doing Something and produced the accompanying publication.

Michelle is also doing a public lecture "Photography: Small to Big, Past to Present" on Third Thursday, March 20 at 6:30 pm, but it will surely be busy since it is Third Thursday, so we wanted to create a special opportunity for the docents.

We will only go ahead with this special training if at least 15 docents confirm that they will be attending.

Please let me know whether or not you will be able to attend before March 14.

Thanks for your time!
