Hello everyone! I hope you all have been enjoying our fair September weather!
As promised, here is the tour outline for Gee’s Bend. Heide and I have filled in some example artworks, quotes, and touring strategies. Please build on this with your own ideas/insights as you read the catalogue and prepare for your first shift/tour after the September 22 opening! As many of you will be in the galleries the week prior to our workshop, please let us know if there is anything else you need. I’ve attached the extended wall text from the exhibition opening in Houston and Heide will be forwarding the checklist and other information this week.
Also, bring your tour outline along with notes, further ideas, and questions to the Gee’s Bend training on October 1 and 3. I look forward to seeing you in the galleries and at the September 30th Conversation with the Quiltmakers of Gee’s Bend!
