Hilltop Artists in Residence Spring Glass Sale

Hilltop Artists in Residence Tacoma announces its Spring Glass Sale and glassblowing demonstrations -- at Jason Lee Middle School, 602 N. Sprague Ave. Saturday, June 10 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Starting at 7 a.m. attendees are invited to pick up numbered tickets and return by 9 a.m. to be admitted. Guests will be admitted in the order they obtained tickets. All sale proceeds go directly to fund program costs, including student scholarships and supplies and materials.

HART has provided local youth the opportunity to work at the Museum of Glass: International Center for Contemporary Art, attend the prestigious Pilchuck Glass School on scholarship, visit Dale Chihuly’s Boathouse Studio in Seattle, and learn from other experienced glass artists in at studios in Tacoma and Seattle. The result of their participation in HART is the creation of unique pieces of art, increased self-esteem and hope for their future. All these experiences have contributed to their motivation to stay in school, establish goals and succeed.
