Hi Docents,

 

Contemporary Coast Salish Art by Rebecca Blanchard and Nancy Davenport is a book dedicated to contemporary Coast Salish artistic concerns. The book has been delayed in printing, but as you can imagine, the information would be very helpful for you to have as you put together your tours for Carving a Legacy.  The publisher has been so kind to send the museum a proof of the book for research purposes.  As it is an unreleased book, it is important not to make a copy of it, and it should never leave the museum. I have the copy that lives on my desk for you to check out while you are at the museum.  Stop by!
