RE: proposed observation schedule

Hi Everyone:

I wanted to remind everyone that I have started the process of docent observations based on the schedule below. I will in most cases coming on one tour (and not necessarily staying the full shift).

If the date below doesn’t work for you let me know (I may have to make a few adjustments myself but will do my best to stick to this schedule).

Thanks

Tara

Subject: proposed observation schedule

Dear Docents,

With our new exhibitions open as of tonight, I have finally had a chance to draw up a proposed schedule of docent observations. I will be coming to observe each of you during a regular shift over October and November. This process is intended to give you feedback about your touring strategies, ensure that we are providing our visitors with consistent information, and help me see if there is an area that we need to focus on in training.

I will come to most of your shift but for scheduling reasons may not be able to stay for the whole thing (in some cases I am observing two people on one shift, so will obviously be going back and forth between you). At the end of the shift we will schedule in 15 minutes or so to sit down together and talk about the observation process.

Below is a proposed schedule. Please let me know if you see a conflict. I double-checked that I have scheduled everyone other than people who are on leave or people who have just started touring (i.e. the July graduates, who will be evaluated at a later time). If I have somehow forgotten someone, please let me know. If this schedule works for everyone I will do my best to stick to it but please understand that there may need to be some last-minute shuffling since we are unusually busy this fall in the absence of a curator of education.

I’ll remind you of these dates via your weekly schedules.
