TAM Docents: Special off-site opportunity on Monday, April 5

Hello Docents-

We have an exciting opportunity for a docent to go into the community and speal about Tacoma Art Museum and the artwork inside it. Senior University at the Franke Tobey Jones Retirement Estates has requested a docent to give an overview of the Museum and its current exhibitions on Monday, April 5 at 1:30pm. It is in preparation for bringing a group of seniors to the museum on April 15. We will provide you a PowerPoint presentation along with any other support or information you may need. (Senior University will provide all the technical equipment, you will just need to take the thumb-drive with the PowerPoint file on it) The location of the university is 5340 N Bristol in Tacoma. If you are interested, let me know and I will get you in contact with Lisa McKeown for that thumb drive and any additional info you may need/want.

 

I am interested in your feedback on this type of opportunity to docents. I am hoping that we might make this more of a regular thing and I don’t know if I should pull more volunteers from outside to do this specifically or if you think, as docents, you would be interested in the occasional off-site opportunity. Please let me know what you think.
