TAM: August 4 summer potluck

Karin Morris is inviting all docents to her home for an outdoor summer potluck dinner, socializing and pickle ball on Monday, August 4 from 5:30-8:30 pm.

You are welcome to bring a partner or any other special person who you would like to meet your fellow docents.

What should you bring?

If your last name begins with:

  • A-H – please bring a main dish
  • I-P – please bring a dessert
  • Q-Z – please bring a side dish

Tacoma Art Museum will provide refreshments, cutlery, plates, glasses.

What is pickleball?

Pickleball is a sport similar to badminton and tennis. It involves playing on a court with the same dimensions as a badminton court with a wooden paddle.

Karin’s address is:

1534 S Brookside Terrace, University Place, WA

(253) 564-4514

Her home is very easy to find – it is near Titlow Park (kind of close to the bridge to Gig Harbor).

·         If you are heading west on South 19th Street, cross South Jackson Avenue (as if you are coming from Tacoma Art Museum)

·         Turn RIGHT onto S SUNSET DR.

·         Turn LEFT onto S 17TH ST.

·         Turn RIGHT onto S BROOKSIDE TERRACE.

·         End at 1534 S Brookside Terrace, Tacoma, WA 98465.

Please note that all food should be ready to serve and this will take place in Karin’s garden, weather-permitting.

Please check the weather reports the day before and check your email on Monday morning. In case of cancellation due to rain, Karin and/or Jana Wennstrom will send an email on the morning of Monday, August 4.

I will unfortunately not be able to attend as I will be on vacation from July 26 to August 10 (in Ontario), but I will be handling the RSVP.

Please let me know either way whether or not you can attend by this Friday, July 25, and if you are bringing a guest.

After July 25, you can contact Jana Wennstrom at x3030 or jwennstrom@tacomaartmuseum.org.

Thank you for your time!
