TAM: August 4 summer potluck
Karin Morris is inviting all docents to her home for an outdoor summer potluck dinner, socializing and pickle ball on Monday, August 4 from 5:30-8:30 pm.
You are welcome to bring a partner or any other special person who you would like to meet your fellow docents.
What should you bring?
If your last name begins with:
- A-H – please bring a main dish
- I-P – please bring a dessert
- Q-Z – please bring a side dish
Tacoma Art Museum will provide refreshments, cutlery, plates, glasses.
What is pickleball?
Pickleball is a sport similar to badminton and tennis. It involves playing on a court with the same dimensions as a badminton court with a wooden paddle.

Her home is very easy to find – it is near Titlow Park (kind of close to the bridge to Gig Harbor).
· If you are heading west on South 19th Street, cross South Jackson Avenue (as if you are coming from Tacoma Art Museum)
· Turn RIGHT onto S SUNSET DR.
· Turn LEFT onto S 17TH ST.
· Turn RIGHT onto S BROOKSIDE TERRACE.
· End at 1534 S Brookside Terrace, Tacoma, WA 98465.
Please note that all food should be ready to serve and this will take place in Karin’s garden, weather-permitting.
Please check the weather reports the day before and check your email on Monday morning. In case of cancellation due to rain, Karin and/or Jana Wennstrom will send an email on the morning of Monday, August 4.
I will unfortunately not be able to attend as I will be on vacation from July 26 to August 10 (in Ontario), but I will be handling the RSVP.
Please let me know either way whether or not you can attend by this Friday, July 25, and if you are bringing a guest.
