Docents Needed...
Since some of you have asked about open docent shifts (good on you!), here are all the summer shifts that could use some help:
(the ones in orange are most important, in my opinion)
- Friday, July 14 from 1-5
- Saturday, July 15 – any shift (no docent currently, at all)
- Monday, July 17 from 1-5
- Third Thursday, July 20 from 4-8
- Friday, July 21 from 1-5
- Monday, July 24 from 1-5
- Friday, July 28 from 1-5
- Saturday, July 29 – any shift (no docent currently, at all)
- Monday, July 31 from 1-5
- Monday, August 7 – any shift (no docent currently, at all)
- Friday, August 11 – any shift (no docent currently, at all) and this is Chihuly Week!
- Saturday, August 12 – any shift (no docent currently, at all) and this is Chihuly Week!
- Monday, August 14 – any shift (no docent currently, at all)
- Third Thursday, August 17 from 1-5 or 4-8
- Monday, August 21 from 1-5
- Friday, August 25 – any shift (no docent currently, at all)
- Monday, August 28 – any shift (no docent currently, at all)
It is important that we try to have docents available for all shifts.
We don’t expect you to be in the galleries, on your feet, for the entire four hours! Please feel free to take a break whenever and wherever you need it – in the ARC, the Untitled CafĂ©, the Museum Store, or outside the museum. Just let Visitor Services know where you are, and they will find you if someone requests a docent.
And I will always contact you if there is a tour or other event for which you are needed at a specific time. Otherwise, it is completely up to you to decide when you are most needed and how long you can manage in the galleries.
Please reply only if you are available, and I will confirm whether or not you are needed.
Thanks for your time!
