Western Bridge

Hi Everyone,

Last night I went to
Western Bridge, the new exhibition space in SoDo in Seattle recently opened to show the collection of Bill and Ruth True. It’s a really incredible experience. The gallery space was designed by artist/architect Roy McMakin and the current exhibition shows contemporary art (with an emphasis on video) that is rarely seen elsewhere in Seattle. The Trues were recently included in the ArtNews list of the top 200 collectors in the world.

The space is FREE and open to the public on Thursdays through Saturdays, from 12-6. The address is
3412 Fourth Avenue South in Seattle, behind the Gull Oil Building (on the same lot), just north of the West Seattle Bridge. I really encourage you to go! The Trues spoke last night at the event I attended about how important it is to them to share their collection with the community.

I have some cards from them that include a map and a description of the space on the back. I’ll post them on the bulletin board at the volunteer desk.
